Be Creative Nail Art Pen Inspired By Sam Biddle | Review & Nail Art

*PR Sample.

Hi loves,

If you remember the other day I was talking about a new tool for nail art? I have finally got round to getting this posted.
I was super excited to come across this little tool and couldn't wait to use it, I always love finding new things to use and what will help me with my nail art!

In my package I also received three different paints - red, natural & dark ruby.
The three colours were a mix, I could not think of any design to do with them .. literally nothing, for days I rattled my little brain LOL!

The pen is excellent, I really am impressed with this little gadget and will continue using it a lot! It flows brilliantly and you can capture neat lines without a striping brush etc.
Along with that it is easy to clean, assemble etc. A must in any nail artists kit I think!

I came up with the following design, using INM Black Hole, OPI My Vampire Is Buff and the three water based paints provided, along with my own black acrylic paint (watered down).

A quick up close and personal with the pen, you can see how small the nib is. The neat thing about it is you can create thicker or thinner lines depending on how much pressure you use.
Below I will include Sam Biddle's 'How To Use The Nail Art Pen' below :)

The pens are priced at only £7.50 each, they can last ages if used correctly but replacement nibs can be bought also :)

ILNP Bottle Service | Swatches, Review & Nail Art

Hi loves,

I hope you're all having a great day!

Today I have had nothing but hassle with my nails, I have painted and repainted several times already with all different designs etc - hence the late post. Blah.

Today I am finally sharing I Love Nail Polish Bottle Service. I decided to pair it with a cute silhouette piece, unfortunately I have no idea where this is from/ the artist. I came across it on Google.

Bottle Service | A stunning greyish silver subtle holo with perfect formula, I used just two coats for full coverage.
The art is done using paint and it is all topped with one coat of Glisten & Glow H K Girl Topcoat.

I unfortunately have only two pictures because everything was getting to me, I attacked my nails with a nail file before hand and my wrist was cramping when trying to get my poseeee on, I have no idea what's up with me today but I am beyond irritated :(.
This stunner is helping to lift my mood a tad I must say. :)

*edit* I thought I would include these messy bad lighting macro shots last minute after I realised that may be it wasn't showing very well so... - did you notice the creatures on the accent nail? Look again and you may well see them :P

Dollish Polish Totes Magotes! Swatches, Review & Nail Art

Hi loves,

How has your day been? Mine has been pretty hilarious all together!! I've been in fits of crying laughter around 4 times! First up me and the hubs did the 'Bean Boozled Challenge' which if you don't know is - you have several different coloured jelly beans of which the one colour could contain either a bad or good taste... I.E Rotten egg or buttered popcorn. I thought it would be a good laugh for the pair of us and OMG! The hubby was in pain, he was scrubbing his teeth, mouth wash.. the lot - he landed rotten egg on that. I was curled over laughing, I could not breath! From then he took forever to eat anymore - we had to do countdowns haha!
I did get some horrific flavours but that rotten egg must have been the worst!

*We got the idea from NailedItNZ < click to watch the video :)

On top of that on the way home from picking my son up from nursery - he tripped over. After asking if he was ok he replied 'No' and was fake limping.... the note that dropped here is what made me cry in public from laughing so hard... he states 'My leg is all bendy!' Bless him.

Ok, I just had to share with you all lol! On to todays gorgeoussss polish :O I absolutely fell in love with the polish and even more so when I put it on. Stunning!

Totes Magotes! | A stunning rich mint subtle holo stunner. Application is fabulous, I applied 3 thin coats. The design is done using paints and I also used INM Black Hole.
All topped with one coat of Glisten & Glow H K Girl Topcoat.

Sadly, this polish was limited edition for Dec/Jan :( but if you find it on any blog sales etc - grab it! ;)

Eloise Nail Art

Hey loves,

Hope you're all enjoying your evening :) I have been busy with my nails whilst the kids are sound asleep & the hubs is at work.. I am having one of those 'really?!?!?!' kind of nights though, haha!

Today I have some nail art I done last minute the other night, I was asked to be part of a collab to celebrate a fabulous nail artist on IG reaching 10K followers. The aim was to recreate one of her manis :) I chose this one because it is adorable.. right?

Check out Jamylyn_nails and you shall see her version ;)

I am rather pleased with the outcome of this :) I actually realised my son has this book, I will have a quick read of it later (yes, yes I may be rather sad now LOL).

I used OPI Alpine Snow and Color Club Vintage Couture, the rest was done using acrylic paint. All topped with one coat of INM Matte Topcoat.

I hope you all enjoy this quick post and the design.

Mini Me Monday

Hi loves,

Hope you're all well, who had the Monday sadness? lol.
Today I am featuring... (yes on my own blog) on my daughters post - haha! I thought it would be super cute if we had matching manis - something we haven't done yet... shocking I know! ;)
I first decided on black and white stripes but at the best of times I can never work them on my own nails let alone on my fidget bums.

I went with the next best - dots, circles. All things random. The final outcome is rather funky but great!

I love the above picture, besides the slight paint blurp (thanks to mini me) that i didn't realise till after doh! and my daughters hiding pinkie.. typical! lol

For this mani we used INM Black Hole, OPI Alpine Snow with white & black acrylic paint for the nail art, topped with one coat of Glisten & Glow H K Girl Topcoat.

Please excuse my liney hands... it runs in my family *sigh* lol.

I just love our matching manis, I just wish for the day my daughter sits still to come quickly!! she wiggles constantly... I try my best through them!

Of course my little mini me wanted a solo shot of her nails - she is super happy we are matching. Holidng her favourite bottle for pictures. Glisten & Glow H K Girl - with the label the wrong way. I don't think we were having a good day of nail painting today.. well the picture side of it most lol!

I hope you all like our matching manis. Next week I will be having her do her own nails and more nail art, if you have anything you would like to see on her little nails (within simple reason please!!!) let me know in the comments below.

Matching Opal Ring and Nails | HWStar Shop

*PR Sample

Hey loves,
I hope you're all having a nice weekend :) if you saw my post yesterday you would know mine has involved making and building my sisters solar system with her - I realised today how much I love doing nail art, I prefer the small canvas way way more - I was born to be a nail artist? I somehow believe so :)

Today I have another gorgeous ring by HWStar Shop to share with you. I absolutely love this ring immensely, I knew from the off I was going to 'attempt' opal nails to match!
I am pretty happy with the outcome of todays mani, even though it doesn't completely match the ring in some ways.. I just love them together!

I only realised after I had completed the mani I should have used a more opaque white, I never chose this in the first place because I thought it may be a little harsh for the opal look.

For this mani I started with 2 coats of OPI Funny Bunny followed by one coat of Models Own Snowflakes, one coat of Models Own Jack Frost and finally one coat of Essie Shine Of The Times. All of this was then topped with Glisten & Glow H K Girl Topcoat.
My ring finger is two coats of Nails Inc Soho Silver.

Another macro to finish? :)

The ring is stunning, I love the unique look of it and only tonight I realised it in fact looks like joint hearts. I had to get that captured in macro mode, so beautiful.

Colors by Llarowe Ruthless People | Swatches and Review

Hi loves,

How is your Friday going? Any weekend plans for you? I have my little sister over to stay so I can help her build a clay solar system... fun fun lol!

Today I have a plain swatch for you, I could not add art to this polish - it is so gorgeous and sparkly alone. Along with that I just fancied a fresh look instead of art for once ;)

Ruthless People | A gorgeous hot raspberry pink jelly holographic polish. I love the inner glow you catch from the sparkles. This polish is quite thick but nothing I couldn't work with, I used 2 coats topped with Glisten & Glow H K Girl Topcoat.

I love CBL so much, combinations and formula of each polish is amazing!

Matte Black with a Pop of Neon!

Hi loves,

Hope you're all ok?
Today I have some super sexy nail art for you all, well I particularly think it looks that way lol! I got the inspiration for the nails off of two separate outfits from Pinterest, along with that I just have a huge thing for matte black and neon pink! So hot!

Yesterday I got sent a rather exciting piece for nail art - the Be Creative Nail Art Pen by Sam Biddle, I am super excited to get my review done for you all, which will be coming by the end of next week - only because I want to have a good few test runs with it first! Tonight's nail art is one of them... and I must say so far I am very impressed!

For this mani I used INM Black Hole on my index and middle finger followed by INM Matte Topcoat and some neon studs! On my ring and pinkie I used China Glaze Escaping Reality followed by acrylic paints for the nail art. All the black line work was done using the Be Creative Nail Art Pen - the colours just my usual brush. Finally topped off with Glisten & Glow H K Girl Topcoat.

I really love this fun and edgy look, yep I am pulling those neons out already... with all this crappy weather it is a must. ;)

I hope you all like this piece of course.

I Love Nail Polish A.C. Slater | Swatches, Review & Naruto Nail Art

Hi loves,

How are you all? I have had a pretty laid back day today, after my 3 hours sleep yesterday night I literally slept for hours last night, woke at 5am and had another nap around 1pm. I can not believe I slept for so long in all - that never happens to me. Much needed!

Today I have another amazing polish from ILNP to share with you all, I have so many in my untrieds pile that I may have to restrict myself to only using them for a while lol!
I wanted to pair some nail art as ever, this time around I went for Naruto... I used to watch this way back with my hubby practically daily! He has continued since then and hasn't yet missed an episode haha. He is a massive fan of this and I won't lie.. I do like it myself ;)

A.C. Slater | A gorgeous dark grey holo, opaque in 2 coats. Perfect formula!! I absolutely love this.

The nail art was done using acrylic paints and it is all topped with one coat of Glisten & Glow H K Girl Topcoat.

I hope you all enjoy this nail art, I must state the reason Naruto is very pale yellow is due to how he is in the episodes currently! I was debating whether to add him in his original form but I liked the nail art how it is.

Matching Nail Art & Ring | HWStar

*PR Sample.
Hi loves,
How has your Tuesday been? Mine has been pretty crappy up until a certain point, first off I ended up with only 3 hours sleep -.- I am the worst sleeper anyway but this took the biscuit LOL. On top of that my little munchkins were on a 'let us wind mummy up' mood, safe to say I will be catching some much needed snoozing in a while!

It all went up and up from there though, I had a fangirl moment twice!! The amazing pair - Colors By Llarowe and Jindie Nails followed me on Instagram, this is huge to me!  I am still pretty speechless and have no idea why they are following but I can't thank them enough! :D

On with todays design, I got sent this beautiful blue opal ring by HWStar Shop along with 3 more which will be on the blog within the week or so.
I wanted to match my nails with the ring but not overpower its amazing beauty - I mean check it out! So so gorgeous, since seeing these I have fallen for opal jewellery big time!

I used Nails Inc Soho Silver on my index finger, on the rest I did 2 coats of Sally Hansen Calypso Blue and then I attempted the 'saran wrap' technique using Sally Hansen Resolution.
Failing to realise how subtle the effect is with these together until after finishing... I actually like it. The pop of Resolution that you capture is just lovely.
I was focused on getting the saran wrap technique right - I have tried before and failed fyi lol!.

I used silver acrylic paint for the nail art, when doing this I actually had something different in mind but soon changed it to what you see, I much prefer how it matches the ring this way.

I hope you all enjoy this simple matching nail art and the beauty of the ring.

Mini Me Monday

Hi loves,

How has your Monday been? I know most people hate Mondays but I actually don't mind it, usually because it means nail mail - except today where I sadly got none. Boo!
I got round to doing my angels nails yesterday after she wanted to paint hers all alone on Saturday - she was showing off to nanny. Typical lol!

I asked her what she wanted and of course the answer was Minnie Mouse, now I have painted Minnie on my own nails but Ocean is far to fidgety for a full on attempt yet! I went with a little silhouette of Minnie's head and she was beyond happy with this.
She has been swanning around showing her nails off, bless her!

When asking her what colour nail polish she wanted I got a reply of which she kept pointing to Glisten & Glow H K Girl Topcoat, after much persuasion and informing her she could have this after she finally settled on an actual polish. LOL.

For the base colour she chose OPI Hoodoo Voodoo?! and the art was done using paints. I actually had a fun process of doing this little art 3 times, the first she moved and got black everywhere... the second time she got very intrigued by the paint and put her other finger straight on it LOL. The final result I think is super cute though!
I topped it all off with  my last drop (how is this lasting?! Lol) of Glisten & Glow H K Girl Topcoat - of which she HAD to hold the bottle for the photo, I did try to get her to hold the OPI one but she refused. So demanding lol!

I decided to catch a quick photo of the mani she done on Saturday before doing her nails yesterday, she painted them so well!! Her nanny was very impressed and Ocean lapped up all the love of her skills, bless her. Her mani is a little rough because she hasn't grasped the 'wait for it to dry' process yet and she had no topcoat on these.

How cute? I really love having her on the blog and she loves it too! She always loves to get involved when it comes to nails, I am far from complaining because it is just such a perfect way for us to bond. Maybe in some years we will become a mother daughter nail art team?
Ok I can dream, never know though ;)

I hope you all have a great evening of course,
Lou xx

Nail Art Inspired by Dan Roots

Hey loves,

How has your weekend been so far? We have had the MIL around to stay with us :)
Finally now that all the lovey dovey stuff is out the way, different nail art can happen! That sure has with me today, a few months ago I found an absolutely amazing artist on Instagram.
Dan roots is all about colour, in any of his work it's so bright and colourful! I love and adore his art.
You all know I love doing artists work on my own nails, I had to try this! The minute I saw it, I saved it and finally I have done it!

I used Barry M Fuchsia on my index and middle finger, Sinful Colors Pull Over on my ring and pinky.
I did the art using paints and finally I topped it off with my last drop of Glisten & Glow H K Girl Topcoat.

This was such a test for me, all the perfect lines and colours in Dan Roots work is actually harder to copy then I thought. I am really pleased with the outcome though.

Below is the original work by Dan Roots.

I do hope that you all like my work and Dan Roots too if he gets to see this :)

Red Galaxy of Love Nail Art & Pictorial #RINAILART

Hi Loves,

Second post of the evening, I am just sharing the love to you all ;)
Today I have another galaxy to show you, just a week since my last one which everyone loved (thank you!) - I decided I wanted a red galaxy, nothing but red... yes this was much easier in my head. Not having a lot of reds it was pretty difficult, these are growing on me though.

These were inspired by two set of nails I have done, my leopard print block nail art way way back and of course my last galaxy set.

For this mani I used -
- INM Nail Black Hole as a base.

- Sation Kiss My A'S
- INM Nails It's Red-iculuos
- KIKO 361
- Nails Inc St James
- Nail Pattern Boldness Inner Beauty Is For Amateurs

- White & Black acrylic paint
- Make-up sponge
- Tweezers

Although just using one colour throughout I think it came out pretty ok, not as much depth as other galaxies but I do get the feel from this set.

I decided to create a pictorial for you all below -

Steps -
1 - Start with a black base colour and allow to dry.
2 - With a piece of make-up sponge and your lightest red, dab each nail in various places.
3 - With a new piece of sponge dab another shade of red randomly.
4 - Again with a new colour repeat the above.
5 - Continue to dab in various places with all your chosen polish until you have something similar.
6 - Using white paint or polish dab tiny dots over the entire galaxy and little stars too.
7 - Sketch out the letters & heart using black polish.
8 - Fill in any remaining galaxy outside of your lettering with black polish or paint.
9 - Topcoat and enjoy!

I have entered these nails into River Island We Heart Nail Art Contest ;)
I hope you all like this of course :)
