Colors by Llarowe Spring Frenzy 2014 | The Great Pretender and Look At Me I'm Sandra Dee

*PR Sample.

Hi loves,
I am super excited over this post!!
After messing about with my pictures again and so on - I think I may have finally got them looking bigger and clearer. I am hoping you all like the difference or even notice anything. I was so happy to finally figure this out, I am not savvy with pictures and have sat comfy for most of my blogging with the same photos, I then started thinking I needed equal black background to hand space which has been the main focus for a while now, I really miss that with these photos.

On with todays beautiful match, I got the go-ahead to do art with the rest of the Spring Collection I had received as there is enough plain swatches from other bloggers, you know I was so chuffed to be able to do that, although for the past few days I have sat wondering the best way to pair some etc. I finally had an idea last night which led me running to the CBL's to pick the 3 colours I had thought of and then I saw these two sitting together - I was like 'Damnnnn, you both pair rather nice!' - that's when everything changed and I had my match nail art ready.

I really love the outcome and think they work well together, I hope you all agree ;)

The Great Pretender | Oh boy, this polish right here.. Wow! A stunning deep rich red wine full of burgundy/red shimmer. I can't even get close to describing the beauty of this, truly! I applied 2 coats.

Look At Me I'm Sandra Dee | This is the mother of glitter, clear base jammed full of holo micro glitter along with some tiny red/pink hexed glitter, with a touch of linear holo. I used 2 coats for full coverage but some people may need 3.

*Topped with one coat of Glisten & Glow H K Girl Topcoat.

I am in love with this match, I am refusing to remove it - at least for today :P

I hope you all like these photos, I appreciate any feedback from you all.

  1. You have seriously got to do a video to show how you did the big heart nail. Soooo pretty. Love this mani.

  2. So beautiful! Not many manis stop me in my tracks but this one sure did. I admired your artwork for a very long time. When I finally scrolled down, I was sad to see there was no information given about your technique. Please, tell us how you did this? Dotting tools for the small hearts? If, yes, any advice about how to make such small hearts so cleanly with a glitter polish? I know if I tried that, I'd end up with mounded blobs...very pretty blobs, given the polish used...but still blobs and not sweet little hearts so close together and yet managing to not spread into other hearts. But, of course, the biggest question I have is how you accomplished the half and half full-nail heart? Tape to delineate the sides? Or did you freehand it? And did you use a self-made decal to create the heart and then put it on top? If yes, how did you attach it? A layer of top coat? Nail glue? You can see not having the details on your technique has made my mind run wild with possibilities. Please...tell us your technique(s) and put me out of my misery? ;) Thank you so much...again, your mani was inspired and is gorgeous!

    1. Hi hun,
Thank you for your message and kind words, I'm glad you love this mani. The small dots was created using a dotting tool :) the big heart I painted each half of my nail with chosen polishes carefully then free handed the hearts with opposite polishes :) I will get a youtube video up soon showing how I do this so watch out for that if it'll help :) xx
