Nail Pattern Boldness Elle La Vend Aire; Swatches & Review.. Cartoon/Animated Nails ;)

Oooooo, I am excited for tonights post!
Nail Pattern Boldness kindly sent me an awesome package containing beautiessss that I get to share with you all :P Delicious!
I thought I would seperate them as I aim to use nail art with most :)

First up we have Elle La Vend Aire, a beautiful lavender crelly. She is just gorgeous!! I don't think I own anything like her, always a plus. I used 3 coats for full coverage, application was good, the first & second coat were a little streaky for me but the third evened it all out perfectly.

I used 2 coats of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter A-Peel as my base coat (review coming soon). I topped the mani off with one coat of Seche Vite.

After swatching I sat thinking what was the best kind of nail art, I had no clues! Then it dawned on me.. Cartoon/Animated nails! I have seen them on Instagram a few times now & was also requested it. I love the match... the outcome not so much, I mean mine don't even look 'cartoony'.. Well I don't think so lol.
I kind of like it despite that so here is a little picture.
I used acrylic paints & topped it off with Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love.

See my point? I can't really feel the cartoon vibe here lol, it was a fun mani though.
I had to hit edit on these pictures, whatever I did this polish refused to show up. It was adament to go blue -.- no! The edit fixed it mostly accurate but believe me this polish has to be seen IRL!

Nail Pattern Boldness are priced at $9.00 and can be bought via her store HERE, also can be bought via Llarowe HERE.

I hope you all enjoy this post. :)
Do you like this colour? What about the 'cartoon' nails, is it something you would wear?

Magical Unicorns Nail Art ;)

Unicornssssssss!
Finally, I have been meaning to do these forever :o I didn't really know what or how I was going to play it out. I am pleased I done it the way I have :D
They are truly magical & beautiful, I really wanted to reflect that on my nails. I hope I have.
Again I tried 'real life' .. As much as I love them, my horse mani tramples these lol. Still I adore this mani & am very sad they are gone :(. Now I know why pictures are the best memories lol.

I had to use SpaRitual It's Raining Men already!! I am in love ;) - I topped one coat over Sally Hansen Lavender Cloud. Look at the beauty! I really am pleased with how well it pulls off that 'magical' feel.

Please excuse the pics, this mani was impossible to photo -.-

What do you think? Are you a unicorn lover?

Enjoy loves,
Lou xx

Monster High Nail Art Set ;)

Tonights post is abit different, well it is still nail art... Just on fake tips ;)
I had been working on this the past few weeks on and off. Finally it was completed a few days back :) I am chuffed with the outcome & the set is now on its way to a new home, all framed & looking pretty. Yaaay! Quite nervous as this is the first proper piece of my nailart, going to someone else ahhh :O

I used OPI Alpine Snow as the base (which got covered in the end by black acrylic paint lol), & the entire design is done using acrylic paints :)
Besides Draculaura who part of her is nail polish due to not having a close enough paint ;)

I have taken a few pics on steps I have stopped & started at, I hope you like them.
Let me know who is your favourite Monster High character?

SpaRitual Thunder Road & It's Raining Men; Swatches & Review - Plus Nail Art ;)

Hey loves,
Following on for yesterdays post I have two more SpaRitual polishes to share ;)
These are just so gorgeous & not to be missed! I am in love!
I found these to be a perfect combo & even more perfect for nail art, which you will see at the end ;)

Thunder Road is the perfect lavender shade, absolutely amazing formula & perfect application, I used 2 coats for the below pics.

It's Raining Men - the name just gets me wanting to sing! I will save you all the earache though ;) - This is just the most beautiful duochrome omgosh. The intensity of the pink & gold is just delicious! She is on the sheer side, I used 4 coats for full opacity, you may only need 2-3 on shorter nails.

Now you have to see this .. what I call MAGIC! of combo's, I literally melted when I paired these :O New favourite match? You better believe it! ;)
I chose to do a little nail art - blowing dandelion turning into butterflies .. I saw this on google when looking at feathers lol! I think the concept is great instead of the bog-standard 'feathers into birds' & think it really adds a nice touch.

Excuse the semi bad photos of nail art - I think these two just overpowered lol!
How beautiful is this combo though? Sooo dreamy!

Overall I adore them! It's Raining Men is a definate must have for anyone! I can not wait to experiment layering her over different colours etc.
I recommend all of them if I am honest, SpaRitual are an amazing brand & I have no problems with any of the polishes I have tried.

You can buy SpaRitual polishes HERE, they are priced at £9.75, but they are currently having a huge sale on where full size (15ml) are only £5! Run don't walk :O;)

I hope you all are well & enjoyed my post

SpaRitual Love Is In The Air & Idyllic; Swatches & Review - Jelly Sandwich ;)

Hey loves,
Finally I am able to do this blogpost for you :D I have been waiting a few days, damn laptop!
Today I have part 1 of SpaRitual polishes that I recieved to show you guys.
I decided to seperate them into 2 posts because they pair together so damn beautifully ;)

This is a perfect piece so decided I would paste it here (from SpaRitual's website)
''Dedicated to the spa tradition, SpaRitual is committed to creating eco-friendly products and packaging perfectly crafted for the enlightened consumer. We use Vegan ingredients from around the world, including many specially sourced and selected plant essences that are wild crafted OR organic. The formulations are naturally coloured and free of synthetic dyes. SpaRitual is constantly monitoring sustainability issues and strives to be on the cutting edge of environmental awareness. Enlighten yourself. Be a SpaRitualist. Because we all deserve to live the good life.''

Love Is In The Air is a medium pink, I say that whilst thinking 'Barbieee'. This polish is that perfect pink with that suttle feel of Barbie'ness ;) haha. She is a creme polish & I used 3 coats for full opacity, 2 thicker ones would work I am sure. Flawless application & drying time is fab!

Idyllic - I was going to swatch her alone but my nails are so beaten, she is very very sheer! I tried 3 coats but still very visible nail line - just to add though she has flawless application again. She is the perfect & when I say perfect.. Trust me! suttle french pink - I always have the trouble of wanting a sheer enough color that I can do art on etc - now I have found her! :D
I chose on doing a jelly sandwich using Love Is In The Air & Idyllic because they went so well together.

I used 3 coats of Love Is In The Air - one coat of Models Own Blizzard & 2 coats of Idyllic.

I plan to do some peek-a-boo nails using Idyllic real soon, watch out for that!

Overall I absolutely love them! Application on both are flawless & I actually like the smell of the polish .. wierd moment going on ha!
I have been eyeing SpaRitual polishes for a while now & I am so glad to have finally got to try them.. I know they will become a huge addition to build on.

SpaRitual polishes are 15ml, priced at £9.75 but they are currently having a huge sale on where full size lacquers are £5!! :o
You can find thier polish range HERE & the sale section HERE.

I hope you enjoyed this post, be sure to watch out for tomorrows part 2.

Second Attempt At A 'Real Life Animal' *Paint It Blue*

Guess who is back... Yep I took a tiny break, actually not my fault! I have shots to be posted but my laptop charger broke! Perfect timing or what ugh.
I did a little art for now until I can get these amazing polishes up for show oooh ;)

I did indeed attempt another real life animal pic, actually alot easier than my first was, pheeew!
This time a kitty cat... Been named as TomTom ;) N'awwww!
I was surprised on how well I managed to use the brush to get a somewhat 'fur' look.
I then got stuck on what to do with my other nails, so I chose on leaving them plain.
A kitty accent nail, how cute can it get! Lol

I used China Glaze - Kinetic Candy as the base color, I used acrylic paints for TomTom.

Enjoy all

Born Pretty Store Silver Metal Nail Art Chain Review; Leopard Print Style ;)

Hey beauts!
Wow.. First off I have to apologise, this review was ment to go up a few days after the last one (check it out HERE).. With being so ill the past few weeks I have just had no energy!
I was having a tough time thinking of a design to do with these chains - I didn't really want to go with black etc... I am loving what I chose!
I got inspiration off a image from google - love this!
I usually do detailed art - not really girly art. This screams girly!!

This silver chain from Born Pretty Store is amazing! You get loadssss of it aswell (100cm to be exact lol).. It is easy to cut - I used nail clippers. Truly beautiful! I have been on the hunt for something like this for a while - being someone not really into 3D stuff, I had no clue what I was looking for lol!

Onto my design -

The colours used are OPI - Skull & Glossbones (need a backup this is gorgeous!) & Sation -Teacher's Pet (perfect baby pink!!). I love the way they go together - I wasnt to sure they would. I love them though!
I also added in leopard print using black acrylic paint, I added Sation Teacher's Pet in the spots.. not sure it shows up well on camera though -.-
I decided to add in micro beads & gems for the extra 'wammmbammm' haha -  I think it all goes so good! :)

Just to show how much chain is left, OPI & Sation got it on haha ;) -

You can buy the silver chain HERE - where you can choose from silver or gold. They are priced at $2.99!
With also getting an extra 10% by using my code pictured below -

I hope you all enjoy the post

The Smurfs Nail Art / One Of Those Days...

You know those kind of times where you can't be bothered ... But know you got to do it!! That was today.
First off the corner of my nail broke - FML! Luckily my nails grow fast! Phew! As much as I hate the fact I am always having to file them... Times like this I am thankful lol!
Then I just got soooo tired today - my little ones have been on some hyper kick - sibling wars - etc! As you can imagine the joys of a nearly 2 & 3 and a half year old. -.-

I was going to skip art tonight but I lacked posting yesterday & did not want to miss another day - I find Instagram (@TipsandTopcoat) more able to control & update than here. As much as I love blogging, it can take up alot of time ;(

I chose on doing The Smurfs tonight - easy enough... Not.
I somehow lost interest half way through & almost quit doing them, after a breather I continued & ended up with this. Pictures came out blah aswell! I seriously need some posts for in advance so days like this can pass without notice lol!
I thought I would post anyway minus the pic awkwardness, so I hope you enjoy them :/

For the base I used Essie Bikini So Teeny, as ever the design is done using acrylic paints.

Enjoy all

Baby Minnie Mouse Nail Art ;)

It's A Girl!! :O
Nooooope not me though - this was a request ;)
I was giddy about this and had to do this asap, plus I was not sure on when the request was needed for (the request was for thier baby shower theme). Baby Minnie Mouse has been on my agenda for a while now, brilliant excuse to get on it. I just love the baby characters, so adorable!!
Baby showers don't really occur over in the UK, not as popular as they are in America... They just look so amazing! I didn't have one with either of my two kids :(

I chose to add a baby dummy & bottle in on this design, just to bring it all together. Toooo cute!
For the base colours I used The Face Shop PK101 topped with Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter (seriously the sexiest glitter ever!)
I think all in all this has to be one of my favourites! :)

I hope you enjoy & congratulations to any of my readers who are pregnant! :D

Pretty Serious - Santa's Sunburn & Claris; Swatches & Review

Omgosh - I just love having swatch days, sometimes I just get so tired from nail art :O & plus I am still working on my Monster High piece for framing. Mission!
I decided I would cheer myself up by trying out the two other Pretty Serious polishes I recieved, along with The Pink One - you can see my review on her HERE.

I am so in love with Pretty Serious - not only is the packaging the best but her polishes are amazing! I now own 5 and not one has disappointed me.

Starting off with Santa's Sunburn - I was unsure how well I could rock her, I am so pale & red usually does not suit me in the slightest. Surprisingly Santa's Sunburn looked amazing! Minus the name - If I was to see her I would think Christmas! She reminds me of the red tinsel. The added tiny silver flecks really adds that pop! Beautiful!
She is a one coater but I added two, just because I always do ;) Application was flawless.

Claris - Omy! Pinkkkkk, She is gorgeous! A yummy milky pink with the most striking tiny gold flecks. I was shocked just how wow the gold shone through. Perfect! Application on her again was flawless - I used 3 coats for my pictures.

My gosh. What beauties!
Pretty Serious stole my heart again! You can buy both of these at Pretty Serious - priced at $9.95 or via Llarowe - priced at $12.00 but currently has a sale for many at $10.

I hope you all enjoy the swatches :)

Aristocats Marie Nail Art :)

Evening loves,
Finally some nail art! I have been working on some Monster High nail tips for a frame piece, slowly! I've felt so ill so nails took a back seat more than I would have liked :(
I am feeling abit better so regular posts will resume woo!

Aristocats was requested - Marie in particular ;). I thought this was so cute not to do asap - and plus I love pink so bonus! I chose two different poses of Marie because I could not pick just one! I always find I struggle on the more simple designs - may sound funny but it makes sense to me ;)

I chose China Glaze Light As Air as my base color - on my index & pinky I picked OPI Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It - I found the hearts hard to pick up on the brush so I placed them myself :)
Marie was done using acrylic paints.

I hope you enjoy tonight's art

*Paint It Blue* Fan Brush Art :)

Hey loves,
More paint it blue nails for Autism Awareness Month. I am still feeling unwell so art has taken a backseat at the moment sorry :(

I have seen these sort of nails around - where you use the fan brush to stripe across. I have no idea what it is called LOL! Shhhh ;)
I thought these would be a lovely piece - beautiful & simple. Sometimes a little is enough right?

I love these! They really do pop well & this Kiko color is just amazing!! I defo feel like I will do more in different colors etc. They were sooo easy aswell, I did go abit crazy with the paint at first but after brushing on paper I got the hang of it.
My base is Kiko 336 & I used pale pink & lilac to fan over, although they havent gone that way onto my nails lol!

Hopefully I will have some nail art up tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Pretty Serious The Pink One; Swatches & Review ;)

Hey beauts
Excuse my lack of posts I am so ill - like I don't even know how to explain it! It is really bugging me off though ugh :(
I had to do my nails so I decided it had to be my favourite!
Yep - my absolute favourite polish, you know them 'if you could only live with one polish forever what would it be?' .. This used to be an impossible question for me to answer, until now!
Pretty Serious The Pink One is the mother of all pinks! If you love pink as much as I do... You need this! Without a doubt! :O

I was so excited to review for Pretty Serious, I love all thier packaging and polishes <3 When I saw this one along with 2 others (up soon) I literally could have cried with happiness !!!

I tried so hard to capture her but she is a right little minx.. she totally played 'NO! I won't do it, I am a must-be-seen-in-person kind of polish' :O! Naughty.
I got pretty close but imagine hot pink.. like hot pink as you could long for. Delicious.
She rocks a rather sexy blue shimmer.. Oh my! The blue shimmer just shines through so beautifully. Ahh my!

Enough of my total love spew all over this post haha ;) onto the pictures

Ohhh some macro shots? Why not ;)

The next macro is without my light box lights on.

Now I know you are in love aswell.. :O Anyone who is not..... no actually you can't be. Its impossible :P!

The Pink One is part of the Seriously Random collection which also consists of another shade Martian Sea. From what I gather these along with others were a spare of the moment random mix which were voted on 'keep or chuck' by thier followers.

You can find The Pink One HERE
The Pink One along with all thier other polishes are priced at $9.95 - Pretty Serious is also sold on Llarowe HERE

I hope you all enjoy this post & the pics.
Dont forget to also follow Pretty Serious over on Facebook, show the love ;)
