Ruby Wing Summer Festival Paint Collection - Swatches, review and some colour blocking

Ohhh lets feel that summer vibe shall we? ;)
Today I have 4 of 6 Ruby Wing Summer Festival Paint Collection to show off, be ready to get those sunnies on! :P

This is a pic heavy post, but totally worth it! I wanted to do something fun with the 4 colours aswell as swatch them - lets see them all together first shall we?

Powwww wow!!
How darling are they, the yellow is seriously much more neon IRL - hitting highlighter yellow. I am sure I am not alone when saying 'neons are a total b*tch to catch' ha.

So the 4 I am showing you all today are - Electric Firefly, Green Peace, Crowd Surf and Eternal.

I loveeee them! I wasn't as keen on the colour blocking in outdoor light but it has grown on me, kind of cool right?

First up is Electric Firefly, wow this is one bright polish! Its a gorgeous neon/ on the verge of highlighter yellow with a green shimmer when indoors, outdoors it is a deep orange, like bricky orange lol. I applied 4 coats when swatching. On the colour blocking above I applied 2 coats over white. The transition on her took the longest of the 4, around 5-7mins in all.

*Indoors.
I cant stress enough that she is just so much more neon, damn camera!

*In transition.

*Outdoors.

Next is Green Peace, a gorgeous neon green when indoors, outdoors it goes to a very deep forest green. Gorgeous! I applied 3 coats, transition on this took around 2mins. Love!

*Indoors.
Again so much more neon IRL.

*In transition.

*Outdoors.

Crowd Surf, ohhh my! She is my favourite of the 4, a gorgeous neon fuchsia when indoors that changes to a deep magenta when hit by the sun. I applied 2 coats. Transition on her was just like Green Peace.

*Indoors.

*In transition.

*Outdoors

Last up is Eternal, another one I just love! Indoors it's a beautiful teal green that transforms to a deep grey-mauve kind of colour, this was one I couldn't quite grasp colour wise lol. I loveeee it though! I used 3 coats but 2 maybe enough on shorter nails. Transition was super fast also.

*Indoors.
I had to edit the pic to get the colour close enough.

*In transition.

*Outdoors.

They are all topped off with one coat of Seche Vite, I had no problems with application on any. I am loving them, both indoors and outdoor lighting. Woooooweee!

  2. I got the pink (not shown) and the purple this weekend. I'm in the US and I got them at a store called "5 Below". They had the entire summer collection for $2/each or 3/$5!! Haven't tried them yet, but I just wanted to let everyone know where to buy them in the US.
