Yesterday I hit 200 followers here & 600+ on Facebook; and now have over 8000 followers on Instagram. Im honestly so shocked and honoured to have such wonderful people share my passion.

As a send off for 2012 I decided on a simple glitter mani... And I actually did a full nail glitter gradient! YIKES!
I used Barry M Pink Silver Glitter & Barry M Silver Multi Glitter. I am rather pleased at these, Im like YESSS!!!!!!! :D LOL!
The last phot is taken with a flash shining on my nails ;)

Daily Lacquer Father/Daughter Duo, Swatches & Review :)

Hey all; following on from the goodies my hubby bought me.. Here is another 2 :D

I fell in love when I saw this pair & I am beyond happy I own them, such a beautiful match.

These can be bought seperately or as a pair & you can find them on Daily Lacquer's etsy - http://www.etsy.com/shop/DailyLacquer

Mamoru (Father) - This is a clear based polish filled with black & white micro glitters; larger red & white hex glitters; silvery stars & my favourite and as I call it 'hair stubble :P' being tiny black bar glitter.
I layered him over China Glaze For Audrey; surprisingly I think they match well. *I used 2 coats of CG For Audrey & 2 coats of Mamoru, topped with 1 coat of Seche Vite*

Chibiusa (Daughter) - She is described as a white based crelly polish with pink hearts, pink holo hexes & holo moons.
I layered her over OPI Alpine Snow. I did at first try her alone but she popped better with a white base. *I used 2 coats of OPI Alpine Snow & 2 coats of Chibiusa, topped with 1 coat of Seche Vite*

Final thoughts? I love them both; Chibiusa got a bit gooey as I tried to grab some hearts & moons, this isnt a problem for me. I enjoy being able to place the larger glitters.. Expecially if you have smaller nail beds. Mamoru I only had to fish for a star but as stated above, this isnt an issue for me.
Both applied great though, I would recommend 2 coats of topcoat on them.

Hope you enjoy the pictures - Mamoru is up first :) *p.s excuse the bubbles on the macro shots; Seche Vite doesnt play fair sometimes :(*

Hope everyone had a wonderful christmas :) back to a bit of normality now LOL!
Today I have a beautiful polish by Emily de Molly ooolala, thank you to my hubby for getting this for me - isnt he a star? ;)

Ooo & before I go on, I have a macro lens for my iPhone, for the price I paid... The quality is amazing! *wondering the price?* - £2.82 :O shocking! :P

Ok onto this beauty! My camera did not want to capture just how neon pink this is, so just imagine ok :P
Im in love!! The photos are 3 coats topped off with 1 layer of Seche Vite :)
It evens out lovely, and the glitters all came out easy enough.. They just made friends with the brush every now and then Lol.

I really love this & have no negatives to say ;) Emily de Molly polishs are all gorgeous but this one is my ultimate babe! :P

Nails For Newtown :(

I chose to do no art tonight as I just am to teary, no words could even describe it.
This tragedy has left families in pieces & the whole world broken.
I send my heart & prayers to everyone that has had to say goodbye to a loved one, being a mum myself it really hit home how cruel such a world is.
I couldnt even begin to imagine what all their parents must be going through.
No words can make it better, I could try and say my piece but these families just need our prayers and thoughts.

May those poor children & teachers to rest in paradise.
They may not be here on earth no longer, but they will live on through all the happy memories.

I used OPI Alpine Snow & China Glaze Make A Spectacle for this mani.

Shine bright angels.

Who Remembers Ratatouille?..

I dont know about you but I loveeeeee this film!! Its just such a great watch & how cute is it!!
I adore Disney films & am so excited to share all the amazing films with my kids, ive already got my son started on them but he is only 3 atm, he will become a Disney fan soon along with my daughter :P

I mean whatever age you are you can never truly deny that you dont love a good Disney ;)

These nails I done using Color Club Blue Heaven as the base, the rest is done using acrylic paint.
Doing writing is never a strong point for me expecially on a tiny canvas, pretty proud of how well it came out.

Simple Cute Leopard Print Hearts

This is a simple cute mani I did a while back, I hadnt posted because I totally forgot about it :o who does that?! Ugh!

Anyways its hereee and I love it! Really must do something like this again :)
I used Sinful Colors Bikini as the base, the rest is done using acrylic paints.
I adore leopard print & im a pink kinda girl so obviously the match was made in heaven... ;)

Its simple, pretty & easy to recreate, even though this print is mini compared to usual leopard print , if you take your time you will do it, iv never tried the larger print with this mani so if you do let me know how it goes :D

Enjoy all

Mr & Mrs Potatoe Head Color Club Halo Hues Edition..

Yaay! Another Halo Hues to show you !
This time I used Blue Heaven for my work ;)
I adore this whole collection I couldnt even begin to express it!
When I first came across Color Club I hated the polish! I was like meh!!!! It must have been the polish I had but I was far from impressed, I then tried (one of my long time favourites) Fashion Addict.. Which swayed me into liking the brand!
Since then I have grown a liking for Color Club & the Halo Hues Collection has made me fall in loveee ;) lol!

I regret hating the polish so much but atleast I never gave up on ever trying there polish & am pleased I gave them another try :P

Speech over haha! The art I done today was a mani I had done for Movember hence (before you look oddly at the photo), Mrs Potatoe Head has indeed he own moustache ;) LOL!

Hope you are all doing good,
Lou xx

Woven Fabric Attempt..

I had been wanting to give this a go for sooooo long! Literally forever !!
Finally I tried; was ok I guess a bit neater I would have been happy LOL! Still pretty proud of my first try :)

The effect is great in real life, unusual but fun.
For this I used KIKO 275 and acrylic paint.

Will I try it again? Yes, really because I want to perfect it. Have you tried the woven effect? Whats your view on it?

Hope your all well

Barry M Peach Melba with Swirls

I adoreeee this polish!!
If you dont have it I highly recommend it, it it beautiful. My opinion anyway ;)

I wanted to do something delicate with this, and if anything swirls was all I could think of :/ lol!
I used acrylic paint for the design itself.

By the way this polish did not want me to capture its true form.. So your best to see this one face to face just to see the true gorgeous'ness it has (not a word.. Oopsie :P)

I hope you like the design :)

Ballerina Art :)

I real fancied doing a jelly sandwich.. Seeing as ive only ever done one since being obsessed with nails... Crazed right?!
Well snooping in poundland my hubby wants to tell me 'they have some Sinful Colors'
WHATTTT?!
I could have hit the roof; im slightly obsessed over Sinful Colors at the moment :O!

Anyways one of the colours he bought home was Bianca.. One word *Beautiful*
Its a beautiful jelly-cream.

I used Sinful Colors Bianca with China Glaze Make A Spectacle for this nail art; it really looked so much better in real life but ive done my best to show you :D

Ballerina and ballet shoes matched so well I feel, as this was such a delicate gorgeous combo :)
